Utility, Cargo & Equipment Trailer Auctions

Haul it all for less. We auction a wide variety of trailers including tandem axle utility trailers, enclosed cargo trailers, hydraulic dump trailers, gooseneck flatbeds, and heavy equipment transporters.

Selling was a smooth experience. Their app was easy to use and staff was great. My go-to for future auctions.

Essential Hauling Solutions

Trailers are the unsung heroes of logistics, landscaping, and construction. West Auctions offers a consistent supply of towing solutions sourced from business liquidations and government surplus. Unlike vehicles, trailers have few moving parts, making them an excellent value on the secondary market. A used steel trailer can last for decades with basic maintenance.

Our inventory ranges from small 5x8 utility trailers for homeowners to 40-foot gooseneck flatbeds for hotshot truckers. We ensure that you have the paperwork needed to register the trailer in your name. By buying at auction, you can acquire the hauling capacity you need without the premium price tag of a new dealer lot.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size ball does the hitch use?
It varies. Smaller trailers use a 2-inch ball, while heavy-duty trailers use 2 5/16-inch or a pintle ring. We list the hitch type so you can bring the right mount.
Do the lights and brakes work?
We inspect plugs and breakaway cables visually. While we don't perform a full electrical diagnostic, we note if lights are broken. Buyers should bring a portable light kit just in case.
Does it have a Permanent Trailer ID (PTI) plate?
In California, many utility trailers have PTI plates which are low-cost to renew. We list the plate type. Buyers are responsible for transfer fees.
Are ramps included?
If the trailer has slide-in or fold-up ramps, they will be pictured. If ramps are missing, it will be noted. Always check before bidding if you need to load rolling stock.
What is the deck length?
We measure and list the usable deck length and width. This is crucial for ensuring your vehicle or equipment fits on the trailer.
Are the tires roadworthy?
Trailer tires often suffer from dry rot even with good tread. We photograph the sidewalls. We recommend inspecting tires closely before towing a heavy load long distances.
