Commercial Offset Press & Bindery Equipment Auctions

Source heavy-duty production machinery for your print shop. We auction offset presses, programmable paper cutters, paper folders, saddle stitchers, and UV coaters from commercial printing facility closures.

Marketing worked great and everything sold. Very professional execution of our surplus auction.

Heavy-Duty Machinery for High-Volume Print

While digital printing grows, offset printing and heavy bindery remain the standard for high-volume production. West Auctions is a trusted resource for the heavy iron that powers this sector. We facilitate sales for commercial print shops downsizing or closing, offering assets from legendary brands like Heidelberg, Komori, Polar, and Stahl.

We understand that moving a 10,000-pound cutter or a multi-tower press requires planning. Our team provides the access and information needed for your riggers to evaluate the job. Whether you need a booklet maker to bring finishing in-house or a die-cutter for packaging work, our auctions offer a way to acquire industrial-grade machinery at a fraction of the cost of new equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the impression count on the press?
We photograph the digital or mechanical counter on the press to show the total impression count. This helps you gauge the remaining service life of the machine.
Does the paper cutter include extra blades?
If extra blades are present at the time of cataloging, they are included in the lot. We recommend inspecting blades for nicks or sharpening needs.
Who handles rigging for heavy machinery?
Buyers are responsible for hiring professional riggers. Offset presses and large guillotines cannot be moved with a standard pallet jack. We often provide a list of local rigging contacts.
Is the equipment 3-phase?
Yes, most commercial bindery and offset equipment requires 3-phase power. Check the data plate photo for voltage (208/230/460V) and amperage requirements.
Can I test the hydraulics on the cutter?
If the shop is powered, we can usually demonstrate the backgauge movement and the blade cycle. We recommend checking for hydraulic leaks around the main cylinder.
Are manuals included?
We check drawers and cabinets near the machine for operation manuals and electrical schematics. If found, they are included and photographed.
